SkinMedica®

SkinMedica® is one of most popular skin care lines among Dr. Chariker’s patients. Many prefer its overall flexibility as a tool to rejuvenate the skin. It can be used aggressively to exfoliate the outer layer of skin and fade areas of increased pigmentation. It also can be used for the patient with sensitive skin, or as a skin care maintenance program for the patient who has undergone skin resurfacing. Please review the products and discuss them with Dr. Chariker or Elaine Schotter, RNFA, his plastic surgery clinical nurse.

Obagi® is another popular skin care line among patients. It offers a broad range of products instrumental in promoting healthier, more youthful-looking skin.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels revitalize aging skin and restore its youthful texture. They can also improve the color and texture of mottled, discolored or acne-scarred skin.

Vitalize® Peel

This is a very flexible peel, suitable for all skin types and requiring little or no downtime for the patient. Dr. Chariker applies the peel in his office. This is a very quick process that requires no anesthesia. Although a superficial peel, Vitalize produces noticeable results after just one peel, and a series of peels produces quite dramatic results. The formulation includes a unique blend of peeling agents: alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids, resorcinol, and retinoic acid.
